Who we are
Child Development
Athena Activities nurtures your child’s existing passions and knowledge; while introducing them to a variety of new and exciting concepts. We give your children and young people the tools they need to level up their confidence, life skills and self-expression. Athena Activities is there to encourage growth from early years, through primary school, all the way through to our Young Leader programmes. We invest in each person who comes through our doors, offering support up to the potential of becoming an Athena Activities Leader or Sports Coach.Â
Providing a Safe Space
Ultimately the foundation of Athena Activities is the function we provide in keeping children and young people safe. Our holiday activity camps have taken anti-social behaviour from a red-warning level down to non-existent, all inside the 10% most deprived areas of the country. Athena Activities is an outlet for anxieties, nervousness and anything holding your child back from reaching their true potential. All of our staff have complete safeguarding training, have DBS checks and carry a strong passion for the values of Athena Activities. Each camp venue has individual designated Safeguarding Leads to support our staff through any worries or concerns. All our processes are outlined to each staff member; we hold Athena Activities to a gold standard of care.
Equality and Accessibility to Quality Childcare
Athena Activities is incredibly passionate about inclusive accessibility to high-quality childcare. Our core offering is available for families without income discrimination. Our business model ensures we have opportunities to support those who otherwise may not be able to afford the holiday activity experience. We do this through partnerships with key stakeholders such as the Department of Education & Work and Pensions, Schools, Housing Associations, and the Police Fire & Crime Commissioner. Athena Activities is here to offer fun and laughter to each individual who joins us. At our core is the determination to break down barriers through creativity, humour and nurture. The mental and physical wellbeing of each child is the priority of Athena Activities. We want to wave your child off at the end of the day, knowing that they’ve loved their time with us.
