History of Athena Activities
Athena Activities began our story as CSD Activity Camps, we have been supporting children and families for eleven years throughout Corby. In the beginning we were a small community-run organisation on a mission to tear children away from their screens throughout the school holidays. We offered free places to those who needed them and an overwhelming majority of our staff were hard-working volunteers.
As we began to grow, so did our ambitions and we felt a new name was appropriate to support us in moving further afield. This is when Athena Activities was born. A strong name that represents courage, wisdom and creativity. Athena is the Greek Goddess of the Olympics, sports, craft and domesticity. This is everything we aim to inspire our children and young people with.
